FAQ'S
What ages are eligible for the Infant Program?
The Infant Program is designed for children between 6 weeks and 11 months old. During this period, babies develop sensory, motor, and emotional skills, benefiting from a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports early development.
What is the main goal of your Infant Program?
The Infant Curriculum is guided by research into early brain development, organized into three focus areas of language, social and emotional development, music, and movement. These are prioritized in the curriculum because they build the foundations of language and emotional security, and stimulate cognitive development, which facilitates healthy brain development in infants and forms connections for early learning.
How is language development encouraged in infants?
When children are from infancy to 36 months old, teachers create an environment that is rich with language using colorful board books, puppets and picture cards. Talking, singing and reading with infants on a regular basis will foster vocabulary development and early oral language development.
How do you help infants develop social and emotional skills?
Infants develop their emotional and social abilities through daily experiences that create trust and healthy attachments and contribute to positive social experiences. Caregivers help to develop social and emotional skills when they respond warmly to infants’ needs, expressions, and cues because this response creates feelings of security and builds confidence.
What is the role of music in the Infant Curriculum?
The program utilizes music to stimulate brain development and further develop language skills through songs, instruments, and joyful interactive movement experiences. Music also enhances memory, coordination, and emotional expression, creating a fun and engaging learning atmosphere for infants.
